Synthesizing realistic speech is difficult largely because of the one-to-many problem in linguistics: one text string corresponds to infinitely many possible acoustic realizations. The same words can differ in pronunciation, timing, and emphasis, and speakers sometimes change them on purpose for effect.
Rime’s voices choose a default realization, so you don’t have to specify one. When your use case needs a different reading, the Mist models let you adjust it at a low level:
